SWORD BOX TRICK
This is the last of the Magicians Assistants series. This of course is the sword box trick. This piece measures 4 1/2″ wide x 9″ tall. The box opens with a hinge and can be displayed open or closed.

WHEEL OF DEATH
This is the throwing knife trick Assistant. This one hangs on the wall and the wheel actually spins. The wheel measures about 12″ wide.
I decided not to add the blind fold to the girl. I didn’t really want to cover up all the work I did on her eyes.

SAWED IN HALF
I finally completely finished one of the three magician assistant girls. I kept procrastinating on making the box. I am by no means a carpenter so there are a few flaws. But they work!
This is one of a series of three. I’m currently working on the box for the assistant in the box pierced with swords and the dagger wheel for the blind folded assistant with throwing daggers. They will all be headed to Plush You! LA.
This whole piece measures 4″wide x 13″long x 2 1/2″tall.
I had to use teeny tiny doll house hinges for the lid. They were a PAIN to put on.

LAST OF THE OWLS
I finally got around to taking pictures of these two owls. These will be going to Plush You! Seattle later this summer.
They do hang on the wall. I would have loved to have made the same base for these as I did the blue owl, however I know that that will not ship very well and I fear it might break. So I decided to attach them to plaques and still include the birch limb. I’m very happy with how they look on the plaque and am thinking of making myself one when I get some time.
These measure 11″x14″.

GIRLS ALL DONE
I took this quick photo last night of one of my three girls. I have finished all of them. However I haven’t gotten a chance to work on the two boxes or the spinning wheel that go with these three girls. Last week we decided to completely organize our garage. As a result I can get nowhere near my workbench. So until we get everything organized I’m going to put these aside and start working on the pieces for Plush You! Seattle and Art Unleashed.

ASSISTANTS HEADS
I finished up the three girls heads and I’ve started working on the body of the blonde headed girl. I’ll shorten the dowel rods a bit and I’ll fit them into the torso.

THE MAGICIANS ASSISTANT
So I’ve been trying to decide on what I’ll be making for Plush You! LA for a while now. I had lots of doodles and scribbles about magic acts and magicians and finally landed on just doing plush of the magicians assitant. I think these could be really cool. I’m envisioning three plush pieces, the assitant sawed in half, the knife throwing wheel with the assitant and the sword thru the box trick. All of these are going to include the prop that goes with them so I need to get going because half of this project is going to be making the plush and the other half is going to be for making the prop. But if what I see in my head looks half as good as what I can produce I’ll be happy. I’m going to start working on the three girls heads right away. I’ll probably be making all three at once so they stay consistant. in size.
